Shy of a Lark

I thought I saw a lark today
on bended bough,
glory, glory!
She's here to stay.

So,
Festooned and festive
marooned on a mesa
I thought I saw a lark
today.

Visions bent
and visions sway
Thought I saw
your lark today.

The bark, the bark
the bark from the bite
worse now
as I bathe in the light.

The light, the light
the light is too bright
for the lark,
the lark,
your lark on my bough.
She bend it down
bent down low.

Oh!
My eyes can't trail
A chemtrail through the skies
Wondering why,
why, why?
My lark,
please don't die.

Pass'er on yonder
Into the dirt.
Where worms
and disease
fest and ponder
over the earth.

Plot of land
and plot to scheme
Spot of lamb
and side of beans.
We eat this earth,
grinning, not caring.
First sights of love,
but I was just staring.

A blast from the barrel
soothes her soul.
Laid to rest,
sterile and cold.
Onward and ever,
forever we'll go.
I'll wander the Terra
a story untold.
