Solutions for problems that we create. Complex solutions for simple problems. That is truly the answer for those hell-bent on leading the flock astray. To rule the people, one must first create the problems which dictate and rule the common man's everyday life. Leave him with no time. No time for himself. In between the job, the family, the hobbies, the music, the media, the politics, and the billions of other worldly distractions which we are tied down by, where is the time for the mind? Once upon a golden age, there lived a race who sought to chase the never-ending mystery of life. Then the times changed, and the blueprint of societies shifted. The shift, like the impacted shift of a tectonic plate, left our kind on bended knee in sheer awe of the benevolent god scourging the evil of the lands. Incidents of this magnitude were so few and far between that not a soul could bear witness to the cyclicity--the infinite pattern--Φ. If only it were simpler. Simpler than all this. And all that.

The Changling

The Dubious Article
by Tom Whipple
Our media, the cornerstone of our democracy, clearly has failed to communicate something of great import to us. Perhaps it is the information overload of the electronic age. There is so much news that the big picture is lost in mountains of trivia - there are only so many minutes in a day. Another possibility is that there is so much bad news out there, that nobody really wants to hear or think about it. Denial is overwhelming us.
At last count there were at least a dozen mega dangers looming on the horizon all of which have the potential to change the nature of global civilization in profound ways. Yet the body politic seems to take little or no notice and concerns itself largely with issues that will soon be swept away by change. These dangers range from the depletion of our fossil fuel and mineral resources, to shrinking food and water supplies, to rising oceans, to political upheavals.
Someday either the atmosphere will get so hot and food will run so short, or the gasoline will become so expensive, that every last sensate being will have absorbed the message that our civilizations and lifestyles are changing whether we like it or not. Not even the most demagogic politician's claims that things can be put back the way they were will be believed. This day is clearly some years and more likely a decade or so away.

The Gold that Rots Mens' Souls
Excerpts from "While Mortals Sleep"

Jenny
- "A man who hasn't built up a certain immunity to love through constant exposure to it," he said, "is in danger of being all but killed by love when the first exposure comes."
- "Please look at the imperfect human being God gave you to love once," she'd said to George,"and try to like me a little for what I really was, or, God willing, am. Then please, Darling, become an imperfect human being among imperfect human beings again."
- ""The one-way men--designed for up only," said Breed.
Girl Pool
- "My gosh," I said, "another human being."
"Maybe I will," I said. "I could try."
Tango
- I took her easily in my arms, and we tangoed together into the sitting room. "With every step," I said to her, "we betray our lower-middle-class origins and drive the stake deeper into the heart of civilization."
- "I don't think I'll ever feel anything again," said Rose."Nothing means anything anymore. There's too much of everything."
- Seeing the captive maiden, remembering his own captivity, Ben understood at last that money was one big dragon, with a billion dollars for a head, and a penny on the tip of its tail. It had as many voices as there were men and women, and it captured all who were fools enough to listen to it all the time.
- "The thing about money is," said Ben, "you can't be polite to it. Leave something suspicious to say, and it'll say it. Leave somthing greedy to say, and it'll say it. Leave something scary to say, and it'll say it. Give it an inch, and it'll take a mile. As near as I can tell, I love you, Rose. I'd do my best to make you happy. If you love me, kiss me, and make me rich beyond my wildest dreams. Then, after that we'll steam these clams."
Never Knew
I never knew she was the cutest thing around.
I never knew what I had found.
I never saw.
I never knew what I had found.
I never saw.

Live and Let Live
We honor the massive losses inflicted to human beings—events like the Holocaust. Will the same honor be dealt to the extinction of polar bears?
“Let no species disappear without public notice”
Rapper's Presence
I can hear the beat, can you?
" "I roll a bad one/get high as Ike
Lost in deep space/gotta book a lunar flight
Wanna twist another spike "
Got me hung n’ dry
Crucified like the times of Christ" "

Things
We do things out of Necessity.
We do things out of Spite.
Those provoked by Fear,
can seem a tad bit Trite.
But when actions spawn from Love,
is when everything'salright.

Connecting Dots may be the Only way
With the recent barrage of cyber-warfare, what can you believe anymore? Murdoch has got everyone reeling over the use of hacking to obtain sensitive information. But what do you make of all the hackers out there editing the web & redirecting traffic? Who is to be trusted in these changing times? Those who blindly follow the leaders' of the masses will be led astray. While others will be misguided by seemingly harmless "jokes" by cyber pranksters. We are in a cyber age that must be escaped. Those who seek the truth must now rely on intuition, heavy research, and a strong ability to connect ALL the dots.

Dreamscapes
Lie awake at night. Let the dreamscape take you. Senses encapsulate your every movement. Within & Without. Like the rumbling of a wave you enter the break. Climatic. Now the burden rolls away. Feel. The Drift. In the wind, hear the name. Calling, crying out. Building suspense on a firm ground. Firm as smoke on distant horizon. Wispy, out of arm's length. And fingers' grasp. Stay here awhile with me. Don't let me slip away. As I fall on bended knee. Waves overhead, I can barely see.
I float into an abyss unseen.
Forever & Always,
Unseen.

Butch and Sundance
As I was watching Butch and Sundance: Early Days, I happened to notice some sloppy religious script plastered on an old rock wall. And it went a little something like this:
"and now my brethren how is it possible that ye can lay hold of every good thing."- ❽↑
The Go-Around
Who is the rival to life, and a friend of both the devil and god?
"without death, life would be meaningless. death gives meaning to life"
